Normally you fly to the corn islands from the capital Managua, but we decided to go the long way round and take the 6 hour bus ride across the interior of Nicaragua, then the 2 hour speed boat up the river to bluefields. The next day we took a very long (6 hours), wet, somewhat scary boat ride to the Big Corn Island. The ride was ...

We got to Managua airport 5 hours early and spent practically the whole time at a check in desk trying to sort this out as this hurdle needs to be cleared next week. Also we couldn't get money out of the ATMs there. ...

But after two nights we decided to move as the dive school had better accommodation and they gave us a discount if we dived with them. So the last two nights we stayed at Dolphin Dive which was really nice. To be honest, we also left Casa Iguana because the owner was a wicked scorpion witch woman and charged more than a wounded buffalo.

Tonight was a VERY LONG NIGHT! 12 hours 'sleeping' on an airport floor which we now know was cleaner then probably any bed we have slept on for the last two months. They mop them at least every two hours! We are headed for Little Corn, a quiet little Island.. The agenda for the week.. Not much! The beaches on little corn are beautiful! Relaxing on the beach in a tree house just in front of our hostel first thing in the morning, it felt like ...
