... most expedient place to get the girls some scooters. Every kid over the age of 2 in Australia rides a scooter, and we justified the purchase by telling ourselves that in addition to fun they might be a viable mode of transport to the girls’ school. We overcame our reflexive impulse to buy them through Amazon -- $100 shipping seemed a bit extreme for $25 scooters – and possibly against our better judgment decided to take the girls with us ...

... girls left for some reason and this made a bigger space for us. We moved here and set up camp for the next 13 hours. We had our camping chairs, food, and a few bits of entertainment. The view was amazing – we had the Bridge just to the right, and the Opera House and the CBD directly in front of us with no obstructions.

The time went surprisingly quickly. We chatted to the Americans - the parents were visiting the son who had moved there a month ago. ...

Our first point to check out was the lifeguard tower, as I had seen many times on 'Bondi Rescue' which was right by where we got off the bus and in the middle of the beach. The beach was very busy, as we knew it would be but we were impressed by the size and beauty of it. As we walked along the beach, we went up hill to the 'Iceberg baths' which I had never heard of.
