... things like My grandparents are – nice. They like to make - a garden. G’ma is good at – crafts. G’pa is good at – building. They live in – a van. The fact that we live in a van hadn’t really occurred to us before, but we guess that’s true. That puts a new spin on things. At least we don’t live down by the river in a van, although some nights that would be an upgrade.

Bittersweet, but lovely day

... one cook and it took longer than normal to get our dinner. But they were apologetic and kind about the whole thing, so we just took it as a sign that we were supposed to have more time to hang out together and talk.

Saying goodbye after dinner was emotional...I'm not sure when I'll see my uncle again (thank god for technology and Skype though) and I won't see my mom again until late October or early November. But the show moves on...

... for my dessert. Paul decided he was sweet enough!
Next part of the package was in the Round Barn, where a production of "Little Women" was playing. This was loosely based on the story of the same name, but part musical. The girl playing Jo was very good, but the girl playing Marmie sadly had a weak voice and when she had a solo I cringed as she thought vibrato was the way to go. Yuck I hate that style.

Today was a fairly uneventful day except for one thing:

One of my blog readers, Charles, came to the show and brought me a pan of brownies as a condolence on the loss of my grandma. This unexpected treat brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. John and I enjoyed two large pieces of it later that night and reminisced about grandma. Thank you so much, ...
