The morning was given over to seeing the Picasso museum which occupies five medieval and Renaissance palaces, quite wonderful pieces of art in their own right. The Picasso collection had some interesting very early work ...

He was offered a go … and guess who had trouble keeping his balance…not me. No I still don’t want to do a tour on one…I’d probably run over a poor old lady. ... back to Sagrada Familia, and it was probably just as well. There were big crowds and a decent queue by the time we went past. We'd planned to revisit Park Guell, another Gaudi creation, but there was a wait of over an hour to get into the park. We didn't fancy waiting for an hour on our last day.
Had dinner, repacked, skyped, blogged - now off to bed for an early start!

The following day we went on our own and were not disappointed. On the inside, idea was to have a vision of the forest, and communion with nature. We woke up late again today...the joys of being on our own schedule hehe ;-) we had all the intentions of going to the Gotic quarter in the morning, but we were too late for a good look around, so we had a late breakfast at 11am at another recommended cafe. It's been around since 1926 and they serve awesome Ibieran ham (deli style cafe) this type of pork is free range and they only really eat acorns. This place apparently do the best sandwiches so ...
