... the coast line. Visited Mile 0, the start (or end) of the trans-Canada highway and home to a Terry Fox memorial, stopped at the tallest totem pole in the world at 127' 7" carved from one tree, saw beautiful coastal scenery and nice clean and clear water. Saw otters and seals at Oak Bay Marina and deer in the streets. A great way to spend an afternoon

... boots, and one bra. I am not sure if I will pack a bathing suit.

As for the wide brimmed hat - I will have one. I am also bringing a bandana to wrap around my hair for those times when a shower is nowhere in sight.

My toiletries will be minimal and mostly focused on first aid items. A quick dry towel, sunscreen, ibuprofin, polysporin, soap, and band aids will definitely be included.

... trip status announcements, and a gift shop that was better than the airport ones. I bought a winter hat. Have been trying to find one for a long time. Right, Ryan??? (Ryan was with me during several Winterfairs with me trying to find a hat!) We noticed that there was not a great deal of diversity on the ferry. Mostly Asians!
