... the afternoon falling over. It had been a while.
For the last few days we have been up at the ski hills, getting better everyday and absolutely loving it. Keystone is huge, with the gondola taking 10 minutes to reach the top of the run. We've had some big falls but keep coming back each day and doing it again.
We've been camping on the fringe of town and it's starting to get cold. It's expected to get as low as -15 degrees by the end of the week which should be interesting!

... not a fun thing to deal with. We had thought that by coming to the park this time of year we would avoid the crowds. Wrong. We lucked out on that small hike in the canyon in the parking lot for sure. Cars were parked literally everywhere. On our way out we had heard of another short hike that we possibly wanted to do. On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

... room with the intention of grabbing bathers and heading to the hot tub, but we were zonked and ended up napping.
