Spent a few hours hiking through the forest next to the Lodge, before heading down to Breckenridge and wandered around the town.
The morning starts off with another hike into the forest. Then its time for my friend Gerry to arrive from Cleveland Ohio.
These days are spent sightseeing in the car. Bonus was seeing a mother moose very close to the Lodge.
Tomorrow we begin our adventure to the west coast
... on the other Loveland base (Loveland Valley). We were skiing on Loveland Basin. So we decided to connect at the bottom of Loveland Basin. As they were skiing down to the base - Vienne lost control and went into the trees and hit a tree head on. The ski patrol had to get her out of the trees as she suffered a concussion. They took her via ambulance all the way back to the Denver children's hospital in Aurora. ...
... the Mountain Manhattan and Kelly had the White Hot Martini. We ordered starters - escargot, lamb tandoori, and potatoe chips with blue cheese and chives. Watched the Riviera golf tournament for a bit, talked to a bartender who used to live in Austin, and generally had a great time. Walked back to the condo, then watched the Oscars (not so great).

... room with the intention of grabbing bathers and heading to the hot tub, but we were zonked and ended up napping. Then, we remembered we needed to book our car rental for the next day in Phoenix (you have to really shop around to get good rates). So, we spent a few hours planning the next leg of our journey – driving from Phoenix to Las Vegas, via Monument Valley and Grand Canyon, after day trips from Phoenix to Tombstone and the Apache Trail. ...
