... to the Royal Show back home, was that it was a lot smaller and didn't have any showbags!

The petting zoo was probably one of my favourite bits, as we got to pet a donkey, a yak, and even a zebra! After getting some dinner, we also decided that we should try caramel apples - seeing as they are a bit of an American specialty as well. I got one that was not only dipped in caramel, but also mini M&Ms, and Jess had hers ...

... bulk grapes, and nacho chips and dip for dinner (as an FYI, Aldi is predominately a buy-in-bulk store with pathetic range, so I couldn't even buy just a bottle of water - no wonder we don't have them back home!).

I went over a mountain called Bread Loaf today. Fitting with its name, the beginning was super steep, the middle had gentle rolling hills following a river, and the end was a nice 12% grade down. If I could imagine riding the length of a loaf of bread, that was today. It was ...

Ticonderoga (52 miles)

I got up early to leave before Patrick, but he chose this day to get up on time and pack up fast. He ended up leaving before me towards the main camp with the trash, and we said our goodbyes. I felt like I could breath again. The Adirondacks are not as bad as the Rockies were, but I lost my climbing muscles somewhere between Missouri and Ohio. I'm hurting pretty bad. It was a beautiful, peaceful ...
