Loving wireless free life in the Green Mountains

A travel blog entry by sabbatical

So we have been free of wireless, and cell connections all week while at a cottage in Branbury State Park on the edge of Lake Dunmore in the green mountains. Today we moved to a campsite and are in Burlington for a Clarinet lesson. Hence my ability to update the site-sort of. Fall colors are almost peak, and sugar maples are at their golden peak. We have found dogwoods here, which made us all think of home, and if you look at a dogwood distribution ...

As a memento of our visit Scott purchased a Pearce's Store t-shirt to show off back home.

Our day finished up with a feast of pork ribs, collard, kale and potato salad prepared by ...

It was late in the day, and we were all weighed down with food, so we didn't roll into camp until nearly 7pm, and by that time when we heard they offered cabins for little more than a campsite, we took it. A fire and some drinks rounded off another short, but atypically difficult day. Middlebury VT > Killington VT, 45 miles, day ...
