    ... have driven further up the Chesapeake Peninsula along the hurricane evacuation route, the weather has markedly improved - winds have dropped and clouds lifted.

    Tomorrow should be an easier day - hopefully a slow drive through the picturesque lower hills of Vermont. The leaves here are starting to show their first blushes of Autumn colour. A good omen of what is yet to come.

    ... day preparing Mako to move again. We put everything back together, cleaned up and put the outboard back up. We then tried to pull our dinghy back on deck (for sure this thing is heavier than advertized!!?&*@!) and somehow our halyard pulling it up came untied.
