In der zwischen Zeit war das Brot fertig. Ich taufte es auf den Namen „Italien“. Es war das Beste was ich seit langem gebacken hatte. Schön knusprig und richtig braun. Keine Spur von schwarzen, angebrannten Stellen. Eben ein deutsches Brot, wie man es sich vorstellt.

We'd been warned in advance that our hostel would be holding a drum and base night in the bar that evening. Tickets were limited but as KE guests we were given first refusal. Anyone who knows me knows how much I hate drum and bass and it's definitely not Greg's thing so we decided to pass, instead opting to go into town for a few drinks with the friends we'd met on our travels.

Over the course of the week we enjoyed 3 nights in Alexandra catching up with Aza's parents (thank you all for the hospitality, car loan and yummy foods!) then on the Wednesday headed over to Wanaka to:

1. Attend JR and Tori's wedding on the Friday (and post function BBQ the following day). It was a beautiful wedding and we enjoyed every minute of it in the Cardrona valley;
