We came upstairs - Sarah is going to see her new niece today - and we sang Happy Birthday outside Nik's door. We realized he in fact isn't home - likely out to uni handing in his eassy - and felt we looked a bit foolish for it but he'll come home and we'll have crumble tonight at some point.

Sarah's sister is in labour so she's left to go see her parents and niece. Hope the baby comes soon! It means I'm here alone, just doing laundry and looking for a good no-yeast bread recipe to make because I'm hungry. ... the Christmas decor in the kitchen in favour of something else. I'm thinking flowers instead of snowflakes, I need to wipe down the boards and write something on them, and Sarah wants to rearrange furniture.
