Brian drove Bailey, Sydney, and Audrey to Valdosta and we met them at the Smoke 'n Pig for lunch. Then we swapped cars with Brian. Aligators and miles

... for the aligators. A splendid visit!

The rest of the day is spent chewing up the miles - not a bad day actually with a few stops. Very hot though and we eventually got to the Days Inn hotel at Perry about 7pm.

A lovely shower with a chance to also wash some smelly clothes left us somewhat refreshed. Straight down into the local Mexican restaurant where the food was good but the beer ever better.

To bed at 10pm to catch an early start tomorrow!

... the waiters didn't seem have more than a smattering of English.

Suitably fortified we retired to bed with the prospect of another long day ahead - a 442 mile journey to New Orleans.

Apologies for the lack of photos,but I just haven't had the time to upload any as I've been spending eight or nine hours on the bike each day. Will rectify the situation as soon as possible.

Heading north, the festival is over.

... AB tunes. Earth Wind and Fire (remember?), 30 years on, played all their famous hits and spookily looked and sounded just they they always did. Lots of southern rock was enjoyed, sometimes through the night.

... well maintained and so clean. The Florida Welcome Center provided all the visitors with fresh orange and grapefruit juice and were so helpful/friendly. Lots of literature was available and they even handed out postcards.

Our first overnight stop is Holt, Florida where we stayed in an awesome state park for two nights - Blackwater River State Park. This park is absolutely beautiful. There are only 30 ...
