We came down prepared for crowds and traffic but have seen neither. Probably a function of where we are. The island seems to have 3 separate parts with 3 different personalities. We are at the north end which seems very residential. Holmes Beach, the middle, has the fire dept., library, Publix, and seems busier. We will try dinner there tomorrow, ...

... we were simultaneously approached from three different directions by a barge, a schooner and a huge yacht that had to be traveling at warp speed. Yikes! This was NOT a situation where you could STOP and get your bearings because we were all on a collision course as our AIS reminded us with scary graphics and loud alarms. But it was all over in an instant and we lived to tell this tale. Whew!

Disaster averted, we entered the harbor but the fun was not quite over yet. ...

... out if town malls. I considered a bus ride to the mall but it was nearly an hours journey and I didn't fancy the hour back at the end if the day. The hotel is now empty - after being so busy with the weddings this weekend. It seems its set Up for for graduation dinners tonight.
