... at 6:20am from Tampa which meant that we left our warm bed in Venice at 2:30am. At least there was no traffic. The weather cooperated fully and the flights were delayed uneventful. We even arrived Boston 20 minutes early BUT had to wait 40 minutes for our gate. We rented a car and drove to Worcester. Needless to say, it was an early to bed ...

Not a lot to report today as once again we chose to relax ahead of the next few days which are likely to be a bit "full on".

After a leisurely breakfast we took a short drive down the coast to see the Trade Winds Resort where we stayed in 1992 our first visit to Florida. Memory can play tricks, but it is much bigger than when we stayed there and the area around it seems more built up. That's progress I suppose. ...

... who also comes from Ohio but retired to Florida many years ago. His claim to fame was that he comes from the same small town as Dean Martin, and Dean Martin's father gave him his first haircut. Enjoyed the golf though the back 9 was a bit iffy! It's interesting talking to the Americans, to date we have not found anybody with a good opinion of Obama nor is there any apparent enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton as the next President.

... it when you are in un- air conditioned locations. We arrived back to our fisherman’s shack and only had to endure the thirty-two seconds of heat between the car and the house. Upon entering the house we were hit with a wall of extreme heat, more intense than the humidity we were basking in outside. ... on the palmetto side, we watch the Christmas boat parade. it was fun watching the boats dressed in Christmas lights, there were about 15 boats, but I think they were a mile apart and it took a very long time.
