Nothing is perfect

A travel blog entry by jchende on Feb 07, 2015

Spent the day with the realtor in Venice. We now know this drive of an hour down and an hour back, by heart. Saw 6 properties, 3 of which would be great EXCEPT... The little gray house in our realtor's neighborhood. Beautifully redone inside, could be bought with the furniture, has a pool, you can walk/bike to the beach BUT the price is close to $300,000 and the neighborhood is very mixed. Some properties are a little run down, while others have had some updating and it ...

I have a lot of reservations about getting a house rather than a condo, because there is no other entity who is responsible for caring for your place while you are gone. ... early birthday present and because she was so excited to see the alligator’s she knew it would influence me to take them to the course. It was getting dark and difficult to see the alligators in the murky water but a handful lay resting on a wooden plank in the middle of the pond. In a tank next to the pond was a unique yellow alligator, in which only thirty in the entire world supposedly existed. I was sad to see these small gators succumbing ...

An All-Inclusive Resort in the Heart of FL

... with a black raspberry danish from the bakery which rivaled any danish I had ever eaten.
- Mediterraneo - at this contemporary Italian ristorante I enjoyed a wood fired olive oil and rosemary focaccia flatbread, gnocchi with pancetta in a four cheese cream sauce and a profiterole for dessert. The flatbread was perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time, the gnocchi were a great consistency and the profiterole was warm, light and fluffy with a rich ...
