Headed for Fort Lauderdale
... At 4 pm we dropped the anchor in this small cozy anchorage and collapsed. Everyone is pretty wore out. Lauderdale is called the Yachting capital of the world and we can see why. Jostling each other for room is a collection of marinas, yacht services, sailmakers, boatyards, sales organizations, dingy manufacturers and marine supply stores. Tomorrow we will find the local Publix and laundromat. (See pics)

Tuesday, February 7, 2012 - We were planning on leaving this morning for Lauderdale but decided to wait til tomorrow so we'll have a north wind to help our speed instead of on the nose today. Plus they are forecasting t-storms and heavy rain again today. We could continue on further south on the ICW but we would have to have 21 bridges ...
Peanut Island & Super Bowl
... F. Kennedy did, inside a 3" thick lead encased bunker that was sparsely furnished to say the least. It was an amazing feeling. Later in the day we all got together on Stan & Kathy's boat to watch the Super Bowl. Denny carefully transported our HDTV and antenna wrapped in towels aboard the dink and we gathered around the table in Vespera's spacious salon munching on homemade pizza courtesy of Kathy and cheeses and popcorn. It was a very memorable Super Bowl party. (See pics below)
