... gently emerges out of a limestone cavern and the whole place has a pretty special feel to it. The resurgence is also a sacred place for the Maori people. The water here is by far the most crystal clear that either of us have ever seen, it really was impressive! Again a swim would have been amazing and was very tempting, however this water was even colder – no chance!

Now off to a proper campsite for the night to get showered and clean and recharge our ...

... city over pulling down historically important buildings rather than fixing them. On a positive note, the famous shipping container mall is AMAZING. It's a buzzing hive of activity in a fairly desolate city and shows what a difference a little creative thinking can make. I hope they keep it forever!

After a wonderful weekend with Lisi, Wayne and Poppy (the adorable) puppy it was time to set off for my next and last adventure - South Africa!!

... br> During the chat time passed quickly and we arrived at our first stop, Framingham Winery near Blenheim. This was a beautiful setting with a very well appointed tasting room that looked like it could have been from any high end winery in California. They produce a wide range of whites (Pinot Gris, Rieslings, Sauvignon Balanc, C******nay, and Viognier) and reds (Pinot Noir, Syrah, Montepulciano). ... to the amazing Fox Glacier which we were lucky enough to tramp up. Pretty bizarre wearing a singlet on the walk there and then chucking on all those layers and walking up ice stairs and into ice caves etc in the height of the NZ summer. Bizarre but awesome.
