We had a crazy weekend mixed with multiple festivities (including the awesome game of True American), however, kayaking along Saluda Shoals was probably the coolest thing I have done in Columbia yet. It was slightly windy but overall the weather was beautiful. We put in and paddled upstream against the current (bound to be sore the next day).

... for years, traveled through Canada, enjoying all the majesty of the Canadian Rockies, and the Yukon, experienced the vast, wild, and beautiful Alaska, and had a relaxing week long cruise seeing and visiting more of Alaska and the Canadian coast. From Atlanta, Valerie and I drove the three hours to Lexington, South Carolina. I think one of the first things that I am going to have to rearrange about my thought process in moving here, is that a three hour drive constitutes a short distance.
