... and had wicked up into all my inner layers. My new pants held up well, no big leaks, but I could feel cold water going down my butt and trailing down the inside of my legs. The new Alpinstar boots were also showing signs of water intrusion. This is bad because my feet were cold when dry. I wanted to get started again, but the rain picked up it's intensity. The Edgewater Bed and Breakfast was an adorable property and the couple who own the place are an absolute delight. Paul and Susan were wonderful hosts. Each morning they prepared a homemade breakfast (delicious) and each evening Paul plays music for the fish (unfortunately we didn't get to hear this as we were ...

... finally) and after doing the math we have decided to fly to St. John’s and then rent a car to do some exploring. The ferry that would have taken us by car on the more direct route doesn’t run outside the summer season which meant we would be taking the long road, adding days and 2000 km of driving to the trip…flying seems like a much better idea! Should be fun – we’ll be there for five days, staying in a hotel with room service – what a ...
