... meant we had the quaint restaurant's deck all to ourselves. I've been trying to eat Czech food so I ordered goulash--it was a bowl of roast beef covered in gravy with "dumplings" (bread) on the side. I didn't mention how steep the hill was to the restaurant . We love this resort so much that we decided to stay another day and night. The photos of Pocatky were taken from a 16th. century bell tower. We were inside at 12 noon but the bells didn't ring. Thank goodness.

Photo of the time keeper's "nest" are included.

We both had massages today.

Left our Prague apartment this morning and drove to this fitness resort. Foot massage for 2 (that's people not feet) at 6 PM. Horseback riding at 10 AM, full body massage at 2 and Jacuzzi at 7:30 tomorrow. We should really be relaxed by Tuesday!!

Great weather, great time.

Today we enter into our second month of travel, and today is Canada Day! We celebrated by going on a hike in a forest that kind of reminded us of the Kananaskis trails. It was a short hike, but a very nice one. We were hiking from a small town called Trisov, about 22km from Budweis, to a castle built from 1349-1360. The castle looked more like ruins, but we love ruins! There was a river ...
