... joined me for. Being their last night on Kauai before heading home to Melbourne, we decided before our respective trips, and given we would all meet again on Kauai, to do the cruise and luau together, as a welcome for me and a farewell for them. Little did I know that afternoon, I would be seeing the Wailua River from a different perspective a couple of days later ;-) More on that in my next journal entry though. The river cruise was ...

What a highlight to our holiday. We took the plunge and went on a helicopter ride to see the canyon and Na Pali coast line, decided on paying extra for the front 2seats, best money we have ever spent. Toe curling, tears to the eyes, smiles so wide, eyes wide, man oh man it was special. We came through the canyon, up over the cliffs, around the sides and into the cliff areas. Colours so ...

... spot #9, with some artful parking by Bob. Again the snorkeling at Hideaways was great. We watched the same type of eel swim through the coral, which was cool. The hens and roosters and their chicks sneak around the beach, like most of the beaches in Kauai. We had a nice morning at Hideaways Beach, and hated leaving.

After a mid day stop at the Smoothie fruit stand, we visited ...
