... clocked at 43 MPH. Good Grief - can't imagine being in a horse travelling that fast. He was said to have had a stride of 25'. WOWSER. 3:50 - Berea, KY - came right to the spot we enjoyed so much last year (going and coming) and the damn place was closed for renos - really?? 2 days in a row for favourites closed for renos. Went back up the highway to Richmond and stayed at Quality Inn - highly recommended in A out i75 book. And it was very nice. 715.9 ...

We got to Keeneland to watch the ponies, went to the high school football game that was a blow out, and to band quarter finals. We got to see the band show twice and enjoyed it more each time. There is so much to see in all these old communities. We arrived about 30 minutes before the band returned from their trip to St Louis for a band competition. Long day of driving - 442 miles, about 7.5 hours.

We stay at this park usually on our way back home. It's comfortable, easy access, and good hookups. It is connected with a company that brings in live country entertainers throughout the year. We keep hoping we will be there when something is scheduled but have missed it so far.
