Carnival really needs to lift its game here with activities - how about a show or band during the day? - but the people around us in the competitions became familiar faces, particularly Steve and Sandra and they were fun, happy people to be around and Steve had some amazing stories from prior cruises that kept both Jen and I entertained.

... come! I personally did actually like it because the low clouds give the place a really eerie feel. That being said we decided to start walking and followed the path along the mountainside and then down towards Katoomba Falls. We followed the Prince Henry Cliff walk then down the Furber Steps. ... We found a bit of shade from a rock overhang and Jonathan and the girls went in the water. Unlike in Cairns, the water was cold, and for once we were thankful to have overpacked, because we had the girls’ wet suits with us and they actually wore them.
