... cheap eating places are cheaper than cooking your own as food is really expensive in the supermarkets. We have found a chinese food court in china town and get an amazing meal with soup rice and a dish for approx $8.00..(5 quid). The first night we had no idea of the portion size so decided to have 3 dishes...the mountain of food nearly defeated us..so the following times we only opt for 1 each !

... stunning Grand Pacific Drive and over the Sea Cliff Bridge where the road swings out from the cliff over the Pacific Ocean. This is the road that is featured constantly in adverts for holidays to Australia (usually with a gorgeous young couple in a sporty convertible rather than a weathered middle-aged couple in their Hyundai hairdryer).

... we got a pizza from the take away and sat in the garden to eat it in the evening sun. The hostel was in a nice setting and gardens were a lovely area to sit and eat. As we were sat eating our pizza we heard a rustling in the trees and looked up to see a possum. We were really surprised as it is really rare t see one especially in built up areas.

The following morning we enjoyed our last breakfast with Lauren in the garden before getting the shuttle bus to the airport.

Took a bus to Coogee Beach to meet up with Vicki, daughter of our next door neighbours at home. Had a lovely day in her company, firstly walking the coastal route through Coogee, Bronte, and Bondi beaches, and then having lunch at the RSL club at Bondi, where no lesser person that President Bush once ...

If only we were millionaires we would move here tomorrow. We are trying to find a down-side to this city but its pretty much impossible. There is no such thing as a bad coffee- even at a bus station its great. How does that become an integral part of your culture??! In fact, we are ...

We then crossed the rest of the bridge and made our way to Lunar Park as the lights were coming on. We were rather disappointed to find that you needed to buy a wrist band and as Becky isn't really a rides sort of person (and there were only 3 rides she wanted to go on), we decided to give the rides a miss. www.luna

... around downtown, we'd go straight to Bondi. We hopped a bus and within 20 minutes we were at the beach. I don't know how people in this city get anything done. First the city center is vibrant and beautiful, botanical gardens, harbours, shops, trendy cafes and bars, etc. Then you can hop a train or a bus and be out in the mountains in a little over an hour (the Blue Mountains are only 60 miles from the city) or you hop what ...
