... sich hier angeblich die ganze Situation sehr verbessert und die Stadt ist sicherer geworden, dennoch sollte man nachts nicht in die Stadt gehen. 2007 hat die Regierung alle Straßennamen in Durban umbenannt und da die Einwohner das aber nicht akzeptieren, gibt es hier immer zwei Straßenschilder: Der alte Name durchgestrichen und der neue Name darüber.

We didn't have to rush too much, as our plane was only leaving at 10.30. The airport is beautiful in Cape Town, which they fixed up nicely for the Soccer World Cup, and check-in all went very efficiently and quickly. The flight to Durban was only about an hour and 50 minutes, and just whizzed by.

... a taxi driver been inserted inside a couple of gasoline filled tyres and set on fire, nice! I think the White South Africans who told me about this have been exaggerating a little! It’s a great concept and name for a GTA video style game though. Rockstar I want 51% of that idea.

Anyway back to today and my first stop was the sugar terminal. Sugar is of South Africa’s biggest exports and there is a huge terminal at the docks in Durban ...

... mit ihren Umständen fertig zu werden oder sich einfach davon ab zu lenken. Dieser Geruch ist auch nicht sehr angenehm, da heißts dann Luft anhalten.
Dazu muss ich noch zur allgemeinen Beruhigung sagen, dass nie jemand alleine auf die Straße geht - man ist im Normalfall mindestens zu 3., wenn nicht mehr. Das ist auch sicher.
