      ... area. With the mast down, the forestay was also replaced and some cosmetic repairs were made to the carbon fiber mast itself.

      Dave's brother Pete assisted with reinstallation of the sails on August 7 and joined Dave for the trip south to Jaynes Marine in Reedville, VA for further maintenance. They stopped in Solomons for an overnight and enjoyed good weather and ample golden beverages…. The master plan ...

      So another long entry as I haven't got round to writing anything for 11 days now - sorry! Since Emma left Uncle John, Tante Ida and I have continued with our journey north to the boat in Deltaville, Virginia. It has taken 11 days in total, but it had been at a fairly leisurely pace! 23/04 - Tante Ida and I went for an explore around West Palm this afternoon. Plenty of money along the seafront - there are some huge houses down there - a good place to go house hunting again ...

      I'd tell you we had to be off the ship early since we were scheduled to disembark at 6:15 but George left the ship at 3am for a 6am flight.
