With a sweet $2 saved on admission each with our AAA card we cruised on in (and set my alarm for 2 hours from then so we could move the car) The museum and hall of fame were great...at the end of the day we spent about 4 hours in there but I certainly could have spent a few more hours. ... Turned the last corner then Wow, we were face to face with the falls. Now i have seen a few water falls as part of this trip, in fact i consider myself to be quite the water fall aficionado. This by far is the most impressive i have seen, and what's even better is that we did not have to do a 4 mile hike to see it.
After staring at the falls for a while we had a decision to make.

... on the hot pavement until a huge truck went through with a huge part of a road bridge. I thought I was going to faint away right there on the road. At around 4, the blue sky turned to dark clouds and within 15 mintues it started to cool off and rain. We stopped at a restaurant to let it pass, and the TV was on showing massive thunderstorms in the area. We managed to get to a motel within 10 miinutes before it really started to pour and the lighting show started. Great ...

We had lunch in our trailer while parked at one of the New York state parks right on Seneca Lake and then saw a beautiful waterfall called Taughannock Falls by Cayuga Lake (see photo).
