... We went for the sledge first. First event was a puddle which had iced over and then we had to stop at the railway crossing. The train that went by had a roof covered in snow...but the kids missed it! When we made it to the seafront (Marni still walking, although we had done 1,2,3....swing! - Brody is just too heavy though.) There was snow in the Lakes District hills. Yeah...very exciting. We walked along the seafront and went into the first pub we found ...
... boots have touched the mud yet! I couldn't coax her on to the equipment or flying fox, so we walked around watching the kids play and following Brody. We did see a cute little squirrel and she did get down and walk across the little wooden bridge with me a few times.

Christmas lunch was Roast turkey and veg, with christmas pudding. There was 8 adults, 9 children all sat round the table.
After lunch we went for a walk around the block with the kids. I carried Marni at least for half of it. Christmas night, was Suzy, Dave, Matt and myself from about 8pm! Roz wasn't well, Rob was checking the gas meters. Yep, that's right, Rob ...
... Dylan and Lily all headed off just before dinner. The kids ate early and went to bed on time, in anticipation of Santa arriving.
We had a light dinner - tuna nicoise salad and a glass of wine and then Matt and I were on our own! So we had some more wine and some of the treats we bought at the Chocolate shop from Windermere and watched an awful Santa olympic show on TV.
