    ... there was a black-out. Everybody started cheering whilst we enjoyed a cheeky 15p beer in candle light.

    On the 25th we got picked up from outside the hotel at 8.30 after we managed to chow a make-shift bacon sandwich down. The breakfasts are quite heavy - eggy porridge, spring rolls, rice, chicken noodle soup etc but there is a lot of watermelon which is delicious.     ... a small mouse. I hope I don't get a karmic retribution for that! We also toured the french quarters, where they had nice colonial buildings. We noticed that the newly weds in Hanoi were crazy about getting pictures next to the city landmarks (see pictures below).
