An early departure from Trapini as 210 miles to go to our target on NE Sardinia. After all the winds we were pleasantly surprised at how calm the seas were. Dolphins out to play and all in all a pleasant trip but too much motor - we only managed to sail for about 5 hours at night which at ...

... way to the waterfront. We have picked a bar/restaurant that has a wood fired pizza oven, and we are currently drinking beers while looking out over a beautiful little marina. It is very quiet - we really are at the end of tourist season. Most of the really big hotels and resort complexes are closed up until next summer. Find the hotel with no problems and check in to find a full blown BIG FAT Italian wedding going on. It is the perfect cliche. Love it!! The hotel is delightful, driving in I felt like I could be convinced that I was in a spaghetti western and that Clintio Eastwoodio would ride out of the desert at any moment. Now I'm not so sure as ...

... the piazza was surrounded by Cartier, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, etc. A salad was 30€ and a tiramisu €20, I don't think so! Onto Baie de Sardegna , much more reasonable and quite pretty but usual rows and rows of umbrellas and loungers for hire, we don't know how lucky we have it! Got 5 free mins of wifi when I bought a gelato so could quickly checkin ...
