... Cod was an island. Well originally it wasn’t an island but ships got tired of driving around it so they dug a big canal, built a bridge and an island was born! ... Yup, there they were, the men trying to look cool in shorts and trainers, baseball cap or regular Levi's and a tucked in t-shirt. The women? Polished, neat, dapper, manicured, 'permed' and/or dyed hair, ear-rings and necklaces reminiscent of junk shops. Ethel, Mabel, Martha - they were all there in abundance.
