A week on a bee farm

A travel blog entry by rno791 on Jul 15, 2014

... in the woods, sometimes along a beach. Shylah loved to chase and eat sticks!!! At the time I visited, the bee hives had been moved to a different location, favoring the flowers of the season. The location was a good 90 minute drive from Metchosin up a mountain which was in the process of being sustainably logged. We arrived in the days leading up to Victoria ...

It's considered disrespectful for women to show their shoulders, midriffs, and legs in Tanzania, so I've had to buy quite a few new things to wear while I'm there. I also need to be careful to avoid wearing clothing that will allow mosquitoes to eat me alive ('cause, you know........ malaria!) I've also needed to buy scrubs, lab ...

... up to celebrate Brando's and Jessy's birthday and Halloween. We met at Jessy and Miranda's apartment to get ready then headed to a pub in town where we met up with more friends and there Dad and step mum surprised them by coming from Campbell River. We all had a few drinks there then moved on into town a few hours later. Town was super packed so we managed to flag down a limo to party ...
