    ... I've said this already, but the headwaters are stunningly beautiful. Lake Itasca empties over some rocks into the creek that forms the Mississippi.     ... of place than driving CC on a state highway during a snow storm in Minnesota. I was getting tons of looks from the locals. As soon as I saw and crossed the Mississippi River for the first time that I got excited again and couldn't wait to make my destination. Most private camps were charging $45, one charged $25 and the Lake Lasalle was $34 with full hookups.     ... Mississippi and continued on the I-94 through the suburb towns/cities till we found a rest area on the other side to stop at and determine the next route.
