... rooms. Inside has been beautifully restored though we did notice a number of areas needing some loving care. Paint in the main reception, previously the ticket office area, is peeling from the ceiling, but that being said, the ceiling is incredibly high. A lovely experience to be inside the hotel. There are also carriages that you can stay in if you wish rather than booking into a room inside the hotel. And as well, carriages have been restored and ...

    September 1st – day 120

Super hot night with high humidity and
no air conditioning meant little sleep. While it; fine to “camp”
for free at Walmart, having your generator on all night is not. So
everyone was a little grumpy to start the day.

However we had a trip to Rock City
Chattanooga planned. This was opened in 1932 and uses natural rock
    formations plus add ones ...

achieved more schoolwork and then cleaned out the RV thoroughly and

... seeing hills, and eventually mountains!

  • seeing fireflies lighting up along the sides of the road
  • realizing that my Dr. Pepper can had the 10, 2, and 4 logo on it (yay, family history!)

  • Not too many great pictures today- just lots of road and then dark skies at night. But more beauty and fun to come tomorrow!

    Overall: great first day!
We're looking forward to a long day of driving tomorrow including many more mountains and beautiful sights!
