... us up the south side of Cox bay beach to the top of the hill. A small hobbit like trail leads steeply up to the peak of the hill which over looks Cox bay and then over towards Radar Hill etc...amazing.

Also did a drive out to Kennedy lake to the old "rainbow" bridge and did some jumping into the massive warm lake.
... was a brilliant walk and really immersed you in the trees. Just like the forest from the day before it was eery how quiet it was. The trees were so dense in places it got very dark and there were hardly any bugs (thank god).

After a couple days in Victoria, we were off for Tofino - a tiny little town (locals told us about 1800 in population - not counting tourists!) on the West coast of Vancouver Island. We drove there by rental car, and it took us about 4 hours. We saw one of the perfectest looking hedges I've ever seen along the way (see a pic below)...
