    ... up we were. The tree trunks were huge. Some of the giant trees were cedars. Dylan took a photo for some Canadians and the guy said "thanks buddy" which we thought was really funny.

    ... can go to the aquarium for free! I went back to the hostel and grabbed my laptop and went back to Starbucks for more internet to update this travel blog and to waste more time since Mike wasn't picking me up until around 10pm. I later went to Subway for dinner and to sit and make Mike’s anniversary card. Subway closed so I went back to the hostel and checked out my bags and waited on their stairs for Mike.

    I lay, getting more and more blissed out, thinking how lovely it would be to have someone do that to you every few weeks. Actually I didn't think very much at all.

    I energised enough to get ready to go to dinner. Our blow out of the holiday (so far!) - dinner at the Wickininnish. We got the taxi. The only taxi in town... That either means that people in all of the out of town resorts don't go out ...

    ... actually inside of the Pacific Rim National Park so you have to buy a permit to enter - about $8 per person for a day pass. The beach was beautiful but very exposed so it was pretty cold and windy, however the locals have created several windbreaks out of logs on the beach - very inventive. After we'd stayed long enough for Ben to decide that the surf was no good and it as probably lucky that the weather was horrible lol, we headed back into Tofino. It's fantastic, they have ...

    ... it was worth it. After breakie we headed to a trail that took us to see a lighthouse. We have found that sometimes Robbie isn't so interested in hiking and needs some convincing, but once he gets going he's ok. It especially helps if there is something at the end of the destination, like an ice cream shop!
