After we said goodbye to everyone, we set off for Tofino. The plan was to stop at a few places along the way which we had been told were nice, so we did just that. First we stopped at Chemainus, the town of murals, just south of Nanaimo. It is an old mill town and has a total of 44 murals painted by people from all over the world. Most of the time Paul is in such a hurry that we skip it and drive right by – even the large Elk is so cool… but since we are early this today we actually stop and climb up to the sign

Our first morning in Sandpiper House and we awoke to the sound of the ocean which we didnt really see until about 5pm (that's BC time folks). Once the sea fog cleared we strode out and took some pictures of our beach house and environs which are attached herewith.
