... we were crossing streets besides giving us good commentary of the different areas. We drove beyond Ubud to the large terraced rice fields that are the highlite of rural Bali....and they didn't disappoint!! Back in Ubud ...we all went our separate ways ...to re-group 3 hours later. Up at 6:30. Bags out at 7:30 and left at 9:00. We reached the border about 10:00 and cleared immigration about 11:30, reaching our hotel in Seattle at 1:30. We left the hotel early after breakfast and headed for Mt Ranier National Park, two hours away. We couldn't have picked a more beautiful day...sunny, blue skies, and upper 60's.

Our main destination was the Jackson Visitor Center, about 20 minutes inside the west entrance of the Park. The visitor center is located over 5,000 ft elevation so there was snow everywhere. After wandering around the building and the gift shop, we headed out towards Myrtle Falls, a short 1.2 ...
