Jetlag, site visits and liberal uneasiness
... I wouldn't rule out some of the former.
The hotel is located in a former mansion built for a head engineer of a mining company. It's obscenely disproportionate to what engineers deserve, I believe. But the grounds are pleasant (hidden behind walls and fences) and the rooms very comfortable.
Had dinner at the hotel--tried ostrich, which tasted pretty much like roast beef, very lean, but a bit chewy. Well, one exotic beastie down.
