    We luv Lolly's

    from

Just back from a fantastic 2 days at Blackpool. Stayed at Lolly's Hotel on Regents Road. Its a must! We were at Paolo Nutini concert at Winter Gardens. Lolly's is 2 streets away which is ideal for all you budding giggers! The hotel is run by a smashing gay couple Gerry and William. From the moment we stepped in through the door the service was fantastic, they made us feel very welcome and this was continued right over the 2 days. If your up for laughs head there, there absolutely barking mad!!!!!!! The hotel was spotlessly clean, got guided tour before we booked in. Food was great!! Gerry makes a mean curry!!! Hardly left hotel as the company was so good!!!!!!! Booked in already to return in july, cant wait!!!!!

We have just spent a lovely weekend in Blackpool and stayed at Lolly's hotel. We felt so welcome from the first moment we arrived. Room was spotless, nicely decorated and food like at home. Not to mention the excellent location - 5 minutes walk to the shops and all attractions. We will definitely go back there.

    Beatle Time

Totally worth it tour of the Casbah Coffee Club with my new favorite person, Roag Best. Then the obvious-but-pleasurable Beatles Story museum at the docks. Scored some music at an actual active not-picked-over music shop, too. Click here for photos (they take too long to upload here): https://www.facebook.com/sarahollidaybo ...

Trip to the Lancashire Infantry Museum. FEPOW art and military history. (Who are FEPOWs? See sarahollidaybooks.com.) By the way, most of the locations on the photos here are bogus. I've been at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and this museum in Preston, and the app doesn't admit those places ...

Gemma and Chown headed off to a wedding leaving Knaps and I to venture into what can only be described as hell on earth, Blackpool. Imagine a town of Chavs but with all the other Chavs in the country coming in as well, for hens and bucks parties and just to get hammered. We drank for 15 hours it was fun. Met up with Caitlin smith from Mercure Sydney days and then with Nicky and Ashleigh some of Knaps mates I'd met in Singapore. Was a right laugh of people watching and bad 80's ...

    Cataract number 1 post op

A travel blog entry by sueshuttleworth on Jan 22, 2014

... of time because they said- 'Why do you have this appointment?', person seeing me didn't realise I was booked in for tomorrow morning for cataract op number 2; and seemed surprised when I said I definitely need a local anaesthetic in my eye before they start the cataract operation. Said that the eyesight in the right eye (first op) will not improve until the laser-ing is done ...
