    We fuelled up for the day with the hotel's great breakfast buffet and headed out into the cool weather to do a little bit more sightseeing.   There was just enough time to wander through the Saturday market with lots and lots of flowers.     ... at Korenlei, with Graslei opposite, the two (river) banks which formed the first trade (cloth) port in Ghent in the 11th C. Today it has tour boats doing canal tours, cafes and people. Past St. Michaels again, still closed. St Niklaaskerk, then the Stadshal, with its architecture either gothic or renaissance, depending on which street you're standing on!     ... randomly! Darren ordered a coconut beer, which came out, and was served in an actual coconut bowl! It was so cool! I got a beer called Kwak, which came served in a glass that looked like a giant test tube! That was awesome too! Then later Darren got one in a three-handled Viking style cup! This place is cool!     ... soak up atmosphere then left to find some food. Didnt know where or what to eat so ended up with belgium macdonalds.Hotel is nice very close to station hope tomorrow to find the nice part of town to look around and hope over night they might have cleared the rubbish.
