... a welcome site at 6.30pm. We went back an hour so it is only 5.30pm. The lady gave us a bay view room. We face the lake. It is too early for bed but we do not feel like venturing out. Sounds suitably creepy for the season, doesn't it? I finally learned how Door County got it's name. Door County is a peninsula that juts up into Lake Michigan and creates, on its west side, Green Bay (of Packers fame). Off the tip of Door county is an island, Washington Island.
