    Squamish lies 40 kms below Whistler at the bay of Pacific Ocean. The city is guarded by a massive piece if rock called The Chief. We decided to climb all of his three peaks and climbing is the right word here. From parking lot the trail begins nicely with a view on Shannon falls that fall from 300 meters.     ... totem poles might appear to confront the miscreant. If the situation was then remedied the poles would be removed and burnt! We visited a totem cultural centre which was fascinating not only for the old poles it preserves but for the way it teaches the craft to modern students.     ... of activities and they are always changing. I met up with the huge group goin on the tour and we went to the Skytrain. Turns out all the good breweries other than Granville are on Main Street right where I had been that day. First we visited Brassneck brewing and I tried my first sour beer, it tasted a little like sour cream and onion chips which sounds terrible but was actually fantastic.     Update: we now have confirmed reservations on an 6 am flight tomorrow, arriving in Vancouver at 4:30 pm. Cross your fingers for us. We are ready to come home!!

    Update: we had a good day in the hotel, sitting by the outside pool, feasting and drinking, while updating all our internet communications. Had dinner at 6 pm and then off to bed for a 1:30 am wake up ca!!
