... buffalo. On this one road we went through a tunnel and framed in the exit opening was Mt. Rushmore. Gives ya chills. Later that night we sat in the parking lot of Mt. Rushmore and waited till it got dark. At about 8:45 p.m. lights started to illuminate the faces. They just glowed at first then got progressively brighter. Very nice. The movers and shakers of our country. I wonder what they would think if they could see us and our loss ...

... to be a policeman, be a policeman. We had some really upset visitors and Jean's young supervisor/ranger'traffic cop couldn't understand what the emergency was. Opening day was May 15th. Resignation day - also May 15th. Eviction day May 18th. We are probably the only camp hosts in history to go from being nominated camp hosts of the year to be given 24 hours to vacate the property.
