... too. And, it was so-o-o smooth! Wonderful meal! Wonderful smells and met some pretty nice people! We REALLY needed to walk that meal off, so we headed down Government Street. By this time, the shops were closed, but not the Empress Hotel Bengal Lounge. At Pat and John Leikhim's suggestion, we went and had a drink there. It was very old world plush. One of the many, many, many, many, many things I particularly liked about the Rocky Mountaineer was that they make a decent pot of tea. It both looks and tastes like tea, and not dishwater. I wrote the word "many" too much there, and now it's doing that thing where it no longer looks like a word. Anyhow, another place in Canada where I found good tea was Victoria. ... their own uniqueness, particularly Chemainus which was once a bustling mining town but since the industry failed the locals needed a new draw card so they painted murals on many of the walls around town. On every street there was something different and coupled with the small town charm (and a great bakery!) it was worth the stop. ... eye view! The stopover wasn't long, and we arrived at Vancouver Airport by 9:30 am. From here, after I inquired about a bus link from the airport to the ferry, rather than having to catch the sky train to downtown Vancouver, then bus to the crossing. I saved us several extra hours, even though our prepaid tickets were from Pacific Central station. We had to leg it to the bus with only 2 minutes to spare!
