... was also mining and whaling displays..

Outside to my delight there were displays of Totem Poles from various regions of BC..
The great thing about this display was that each pole had full information about its history and meaning as the tribe and location it had come from.

What we had planned on being a two hour visit ended up being 4 hours...

Alright, well this is where it begins, Victoria, B.C. Now, this isn't a real entry because .. well .. I live here. We drove to the beach we had seen during the tour and enjoyed the sun setting. Then we drove to the other side of the Inner Harbour and saw the lights of the city including the Parliament Buildings. We fluked a park within 50m of the Tapa Bar (it was great) where we were heading for tea (we even had a discount voucher through the Inn) then back to Beaconsfield for evening coffee before ...

... cool tho and well worth the $12.

Because that is all I did on my first day in Victoria, I didn't really form any opinions about it. It seemed like a nice city as we drove through it. I am not sure what I was expecting and I am not sure if it lived up to or disappointed me at this early stage.

FYI there are A LOT of photos of Miniature World!!
