... that had we kept walking, the path would eventually join up with The Walk of the Gods. We weren't in the mood to check our theory today, and turned back. I made melon and prosciutto for a snack to have with our wine, then we walked down the hill into Praiano to the Tourist person to find out why the Comune Di Praiano Wi-Fi that is advertised everywhere, didn't work for us. ... walk we're both energised and uplifted by the presence at the convent, and we continue on.

From here it's an uphill, rugged somewhat tiny path of rocks and steps, and at times we go off the track, before finding it again....thank goodness someone has had the foresight to paint orange arrows on rocks...so we continue and pass a large natural arch in the rock, which is surprising and dramatic, before finally coming to a gentler path ...

... driver that he call Casa Privata, which he does, so in a few minutes a porter will meet me and carry my luggage. So I sit in the hot sun waiting, and waiting. It's been about 10 minutes and I see two men come up a path and sit on the steps, but they're in dirty t-shirts and look more like gardeners than porters, so I assume it can't be my porters, so I sit and wait. ... dressed in olive oil. The sciatelli with seafood was one of the best pasta dishes we ate during our 2-week vacation in Rome, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. The fresh home-made pasta had a gorgeous chewy texture - the clams, mussels with the sweetest tomatoes added an incredible unami to the sauce. Another beautiful pasta dish is the bucatini with clams and pumpkin. A weird combination? You will be convinced when you taste the sauce.
