    A plan 8 years old

... there a lot of wisdom in that statement. Looking back I actually had the plan of travelling around Mongolia and Russia, 8 years ago, at the ripe old age of 18. One night I just decided that I would do it. My parents quite rightly so talked me out of it...however the idea stayed with me. Funnily enough this time around my mum once again asked me "Is this something you really want to do?" and after a lot of soul-searching ...

... itinerary, however the Trans-Mongolian tickets book up fast so I need to have that bit in the bag. Most of my vaccinations are up to date after yearly travel clinic visits but I do need to get a yellow fever jab. Is yellow fever a bad thing? Who knows? We took the train to Cardiff, Wales today which is 2 hours from London. My cousin, John, whom I have never met, met us at the rail station and gave us a tour of downtown Cardiff. We then drove to a suburb called Penarth right on the coast and climbed to the top of a large hill to their house. It's a 150 year old stone house that has 4 stories and the most amazing garden in the back yard. Sara and I had separate bedrooms on the top floor and from my window you could see ...

... Maesteg!! Best people. Their friends join us, Bernie and a lovely guy whose name I couldn't hear not understand. Bernie is the dead spit of Stacey from a welsh programme 'Gavin & Stacey' it's uncanny. So lovely listening to their sing-songy accents again. Try to catch up with Rob Mainwaring's mates but it just wasn't meant to be, the crowds are huge and they were in a big group, we'll catch up after Christmas. Game time boys head off to ...
