    ... wine from glass tumblers.

    We had a fantastic experience, a one-off opportunity to spend four whole weeks together as a family unit, exploring, laughing and wondering at the many faces of the North Island of New Zealand. Choice!!

    ... sardines out to Ascot. The weather rotated in a 4-season-in-1-day cycle (rain, wind, sun, chill) but it didn't matter, with some champagne and beer under our skin we enjoyed the atmosphere thoroughly. There didn't seem to be trouble and everything ran smoothly except for my punting choices. You could study the guide but with 30 horses per race it was like picking a lottery. Some people won who decided to pick names of importance to them but I kept true... and ...

    ... at Heathrow, which was £30 each but included a small light meal, buffet snacks throughout and of course, alcohol and somewhere to sit. There were also TVs, a games room and a spa, but we didn't utilise those facilities. It was good value-I certainly got my monies worth! The flight to Bangkok was 11 hours, and we slept for most of that, and landed in Bangkok at 16:00 (local time) feeling reasonably refreshed. Now the adventure really begins. Oh, and it still doesn't feel real ...
