    All packed and ready to go, we headed down to the train station. We caught the 9:45 from Wool to Poole, where we then picked up the coach to London Heathrow. I dropped Lucy off at the station entrance and left her looking like a bag lady for fifteen minutes �� while I dumped the car back at home then had a brisk walk �� back to the station. Our 3396 mile trip to the Big Apple has begun... South West trains did us proud ...

    What a joy to have almost 10 days off from travelling and staying in Bournemouth in my brothers house with no particular itinerary! Walking is the theme for this week and Fitbit has clocked up an average of 15000 steps per day!

    For the first few days Chris & Jane are with us and we visit the historic Portsmouth dockyards...a great visit to see ...

    ... don't blame them. Dinner and bed for them. Millie, a home visitng beautician arrives at 7:30pm so Yusuf has a massage. Kat and I go for a quick cycle then she has a treatment and I have a massage as well 10.

    Breakfast and relax with Jenni, Dave has gone to church.
    Walked to local pub for shrimp, cockles, chips, salad lunch. Dave joins us late.
    Caught shuttle bus to Mudeford for lifeboat fundraising family day (no funding for lifeboats). There are coastguard rescue displays with lifeboat and helicopter also plane display. Fun fair of stalls, rides ...
