... s. I was thrilled to have the chance to work at the zoo, hosting Birthday parties and sleepovers, as well as sub for Rocky View. We both enjoyed having a flexible schedule all spring that allowed us to make decisions and catch up with all the friends and family we missed dearly while we were away. We thought we may end up finding a new place to live while on our travels but it turns out that Calgary is our home.

This morning I woke up in an old manor house near Itford in East Sussex. Apparently parts of this house date from 1276, when it was started by the Lewknor family. However most of the house is not nearly so old, dating from only about 1580 or so. Yesterday we were quite jet lagged. However on the second to last night I was there, we were having a couple of beers on the rooftop when we heard a gunfight break out a couple of streets away. 2 Brazilians were killed but it was obviously a drug related thing. The cops stay out of it letting them kill each other off then swoop in on the survivors. I dont blame them as its a tough job being a cop in Brazil. What a day!
Picked up from Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise by bus --- disappointed we did not have longer here - just might have to come back - this is the most unbelievable place on earth
We drove back to Banff, stopped at the bow falls, had some free time to wander the streets and have lunch in Banff.
Then off to sulpher ...
