      Well after 2 1/2 years of detailed planning it looks like the day has arrived for us to finally hit the road and catch our flight from Chicago over to Turkey and down to Tanzania. We both are very exciting to say the least to see it all finally come together but are sad to say goodbye to our kids for a few weeks.

      ... are always going to be with us - that is for certain. There were a lot of tears (mostly mine), but I knew that would happen and that it was a necessary step to make this trip a reality. Our two BFFs, big spoon and little spoon, came over to hang out in the kitchen with us on our last night in town. The rest of the house was just too echo-y and depressing for us!
