Well life is much better since my cold has decided to give me a break and let poor Tom stop worrying about getting it. Would not have wanted him to get a man cold. Thanks for all the helpful hints of ways to get rid of the cold. I did take antibiotics (because I had started to cough up some blood so I thought it was time) that I had brought with me, propped myself up in bed when I tried to sleep and drank lots ...
... a tourist road that has few exits and trees all along the road. A very nice change from the more commercial areas and I saw some deer along the way. At the end of the trail it started to get dark early! I had crossed the time zone and at this edge it moved the sunset earlier. I found the Nachez State Park and camped for the night. It went down to 0 at night so I woke early from the cold of sleeping in the back of my truck.
