We woke to coffee on the first floor gallery, then breakfast in the formal dining room. We enjoyed talking with the other guests and seeing where they were from and what things they had enjoyed in Natchez. Breakfast was followed by a tour of Linden, which is a beautiful home. The front entry is famous, as it was copied to be used as the front entry …

We headed out early to catch the Frogmore Cotton Plantation in the morning while it was cool! We left our room around 9.30 & walked into town to view the Rosalie Mansion. The large antebellum homes in this area really are impressive. They were built in the period between 1850-1890 & the Rosalie is one of the more authentic. Most of ...

    ... again, for Roseland.

The family that now owned Roseland had bought it some years ago. It had been the hunting lodge of the owner's grandfather when it was on the Mississippi! They had moved the entire house down the highway to its current location on the banks of Lake Concordia. They kindly invited us in and showed us through this beautiful home. They have spent years carefully and lovingly restoring this old plantation home to its previous ...
