We woke to coffee on the first floor gallery, then breakfast in the formal dining room. We enjoyed talking with the other guests and seeing where they were from and what things they had enjoyed in Natchez. Breakfast was followed by a tour of Linden, which is a beautiful home. The front entry is famous, as it was copied to be used as the front entry …

We headed out early to catch the Frogmore Cotton Plantation in the morning while it was cool! At the end of the trail it started to get dark early! I had crossed the time zone and at this edge it moved the sunset earlier. I found the Nachez State Park and camped for the night. It went down to 0 at night so I woke early from the cold of sleeping in the back of my truck.

... and living on the outskirts made going anywhere a stressful stop and go motorcycle ride with people switching lanes all around. So I tended to limit the amount of time I went downtown. Also because of money, but that's another story. But Austin is also a city that has a lot of nature and a lot of music which are 2 of my loves. Austin has the greatest natural swimming holes and springs that I have ever been to. Barton springs, San Marcus ...
