... photos inside. The large group has come up from the YMCA in St Louis and appeared to be a bus of retirees. The lady sitting next to me had a daughter who lived in Melbourne. Our meal consisted of diced salad with crumbled corn chips with our choice of ranch, applesauce or sweet onion dressing. This was accompanied by hand made bread. Happy birthday to my love and my favorite clown, John! We celebrated after the show with wine, junk food, and four episodes of "Girls". A very lovely day which would have only been lovelier if we could have spent it with friends and family back home. But everyone sent John wonderful birthday greetings throughout the entire day, so I know we weren't far from people's thoughts. :)

... blue and red. All hand quilted and a similar age to the one I bought last year.
Another drive and we arrive at Clifford's home where his wife (name slips my memory) cooked up a beautiful meal including home baked bread and a chocolate cream pie to die for.
Time to head back to the hotel for a cuppa and a bit of shut eye.
I promise some photos in the next couple of days ...

... where her husband gave a little talk on modern quilting. Weeks is already at Paducah so we'll visit the booth when we go to the show. Next was a visit to the Field Museum in Chicago and lunch before boarding the bus for the three hour drive to Tuscola. Here we went to Flessor's Candy Kitchen for dinner....what a great place to visit. Good home ...

... M's, ice cream topping (in addition to the actual ice cream itself), chocolate bars, muesli bars, Pop Tarts, chocolate chip cookies, thickshakes, cereal, Oreos... and that's just to name a few! It seems to be that peanut butter is the US equivalent of Nutella's popularity in Europe.
