It didn't take us long to reach the conclusion that West Virginia is highly underrated! Here we saw the best fall colors of the trip, as well as lots of beautiful small towns and historic sites. We head out of North Carolina early and for our next stop which was in Virginia. A state park called Douthat. It is the oldest state park in the Virginia Park System.
