... of us so we will definitely get our money’s worth in 2015.

Day 11 of 49 (Sep 18). How rude!! The park maintenance people were out with their huge, noisy lawnmowers at 7 AM this morning. I realize they may want to get a head start while it is cooler, but that is just too darn early. Being on base and being wakened by Reveille is one thing; that’s a wakeup call to get to work, but please…no mowers. I will ...

... later on and realized this was in fact Pigpen Falls, not Licklog Falls. Licklog Falls was just another quarter-mile down the trail. But we were running very short on daylight, so we turned back. At the parking area, we hiked the forest road back to our car as this was quicker than taking the Foothills Trail. ... to an annual street car show in Forest City NC, a couple of hours from Seneca. There was a wonderful selection of cars that rivaled any show we attended in the Bay Area. One other notable event was Jazz on the Alley which is free and held every Thursday during the summer, in downtown Seneca. There is quite a diversity of people who attend, the music was excellent, and we had the best wings ever.

After months of researching, planning, making reservations and in the past week, packing and weighing, we're finally beginning our Europe 2015 adventure. Our first flight today originated in Greenville at 12:50 (on time) and will take us to Charlotte. Its 2:00 p.m. and we're in Charlotte, waiting for our flight to, of all places, Philadelphia. When we made our flight reservations late last year, ...
