... me and Lucas (another counsellor) will be taking a group of campers to climb the tallest peak in Maine: Mount Katahdin! I'm ridiculously excited about it and will be taking lots and lots of pictures, though today I had to clean 2 propane burners (amongst other cooking bits) and make 30 sandwiches for Monday's lunch. It's sleep time now though, so I'll update you on the hike when I get back on Monday (or Tuesday if I'm just shattered when we return to camp!) ...

... to today for a couple of months, but the thing that struck me was how everyone got into the spirit of things. I loved the national pride here amongst the US campers and staff and it really made me wish that we celebrated something like the 4th of July in the UK...we really need a bit more national pride (like we had during London 2012)! Maybe next 23rd April, we should make a marked effort to celebrate St George's day and enjoy and celebrate everything great about being British :-) ...

... When the Bay of Fundy hits the high tide mark, the river reverses its direction flow and flows back upstream. It wasn’t exactly a falls, more like a rapid and we saw it when it was low tide so the river was flowing out into the bay. Its unique, but not hugely exciting. Later when we returned at midday, the river had stopped flowing at mid tide.
